CHARLESTON, Ill. - With four weeks remaining until the NCAA Mideast Regional at the University of Arkansas on May 30-31, several Eastern Illinois track athletes will continue in their attempt to hit an NCAA Regional mark.
At last week's Ohio Valley Conference championships, six athletes qualified in seven events with six individual championships and one athlete hitting the NCAA Regional mark for their event. Already punching their ticket to Fayetteville are Tyler Arnholt (discus), Dorrian White (pole vault), Obe Eruteya (triple jump), Kandace Arnold (discus and shot put), Chandra Golden (100 hurdles) and Jenna Uhe (triple jump).
Eastern Illinois will travel that contingent of athletes along with several others who have a shot at htting an NCAA Regional mark to a couple of events this weekend. Panther athletes will compete at the Billy Hayes Classic hosted by Indiana University, the Dr. Keeler Invite hosted by North Central College and the University of Wisconsin Twilight.
