CASH GIFTS
Cash gifts are the most common form of giving. They allow the athletics department to allocate money to the area of greatest need. All new cash memberships at the $500 minimum level or higher may designate their contribution to the sport of their choice. Current members may designate in $500 cash increments above their current level of giving. Athletic sport alums and parents of current student-athletes may designate A MINIMUM OF $100 to their specific sport.
MATCHING GIFTS
Matching gifts give you the opportunity to double or triple your gift at no cost to you. Many companies have matching gift programs for contributions by their employees. Check with your employer's benefits department for matching gift information.
GIFTS IN KIND
Contributions of product, merchandise, equipment, or services are often provided in support of the athletics program. Credit toward membership is given based on the fair market value of the gift involved.
MEMORIAL GIFTS
Membership gifts established as a scholarship endowment, financially aid our young men and women student athletes. A memorial fund is a great way to perpetuate a family name, while significantly supporting athletics.
OTHER GIVING OPTIONS
Endowed gifts, real estate, securities, life insurance policies, stocks, bonds, mutual funds or monies through trust and bequests are accepted.
CHARITABLE TAX DEDUCTION
Gifts are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by IRS guidelines. Please consult your tax advisor concerning the deductibility of your contributions to the Panther Club.
EIU FOUNDATION GIVING SOCIETIES
By contributing to the Panther Club, you also qualify for the EIU Foundation giving societies. All gifts are acknowledged by the Foundation.
