CHARLESTON, Ill. -- The annual Eastern Illinois soccer school camp for boys opens Sunday (July 5) and runs Thursday afternoon on campus. The complete camp schedule is available here at EIUpanthers.com.

SCHEDULE IS ALWAYS SUBJECT TO SLIGHT CHANGE
Welcome to the Eastern Illinois Soccer School Advanced Camp for Boys. Please make sure for every session unless informed otherwise you should bring cleats, flats, indoors, shin guards, your ball clearly marked and anything else you need. Please bring a bag with you at all times and clearly mark it. You should keep your lanyard/key with you at all times.
 
SUNDAY JULY 5
12 Noon -1pm -- Check In to Dorms and Registration @ Thomas Hall (on 7th Street just north of Roosevelt)
                                     
LUNCH ON YOUR OWN

1:45pm -- Meet in Quad with your Head Coach, he will take attendance. Bring all equipment – walk over to Varsity Field.
2:15pm -- Orientation at Lakeside Field (Commuters meet at Varsity Field)
2:45-4:00pm -- Session 1 with Head Coach
4:15pm -- Walk back with Head Coach to Dorms
4:30pm -- Teams 1-10 Go to Eat Thomas/Lawson Halls
4:40pm -- Teams 11-20 Go to Eat Thomas/Lawson
6:00pm -- Meet in Quad to walk over to Varsity Field – Bring all Equipment.
6:15 pm -- Commuters meet at EIU Varsity Field and check in with your coach.
6:30-8:00pm -- MATCH FRIENDLIES (70 mins)... Meet with coaches, etc – Counselors Officiate – have a whistle and watch. All teams must be at Lakeside Field by 8pm
8:00-8:40pm -- Coaches All Star Team v HS Teams @ EIU VARSITY FIELD
8:45pm -- Return to Dorms
9:30-10:10pm -- Recreation and Free Time
10:15pm -- In Rooms for Bed Check
10:30pm -- Room Check and Lights Out. All campers must be in assigned room.
 
SOCCER CAMP SCHEDULE
MONDAY – WEDNESDAY JULY 6-9
6:45am -- Wake Up and Light morning stretch
7:00am -- Breakfast at Thomas/Lawson
7:50am -- Be at Meeting Area – Both commuters and Residents – See Trainer if needed at meeting area in shaded tree area by Rugby Field
8:30am-10:00am -- Tactical Training / GK Training
10:15-10:45am -- 3v3, 4v4 Set Pieces Match
11:00 am -- Be at Meeting Area for Announcements
11:30am -- Lunch: Mon/Wed 1-10 @ 11:15 Tues/Thurs 11-20 @11:15... Other Group will go at 11:40
1:00pm -- Group 1: Meet with coach in Quad
1:15-2:00pm -- Group 1: Lecture in Phipps Hall
1:45pm -- Group 2: Meet with coach in Quad. Please bring all equipment, as we will leave for fields after lecture
2:00-2:45pm -- Group 2: Lecture in Phipps
2:45pm -- Walk over to your game field with coach, Both Groups
3:05-4:15pm -- MATCH 1 (60 mins)
4:30-5:30pm -- DINNER Mon/Wed 1-10 @ 4:30pm, Tues/Thurs 11-20 @ 4:30pm... Other group will go at 4:40pm @ Thomas/Lawson
6:00pm -- Be at Meeting Area with Team coach
6:30-8:15pm -- MATCH 2 (80 mins)
8:30-9:00pm -- COACHES ALL STARS v Counselors – Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday – Shorter on Game Field…Football Field
9:00-10:00pm -- Coaches/Counselors v Teams – Football Field
10:30pm -- Counselors: All players in Rooms
10:45pm -- Counselors: Lights Out and Final Room Check
 
THURSDAY JULY 9 SCHEDULE
6:45am -- Wake Up for all campers
7:00am -- Breakfast in Taylor/Andrews
7:30am -- All rooms must be packed and thoroughly cleaned. Rooms need to be in the same condition when entered. All beds stripped and belongings placed on top of bed.
7:45am -- Be at Meeting Area.
8:05am -- PLAYOFF MATCHES BEGIN
10:45-11:10am -- FINALS AT EIU VARSITY FIELD
11:15-11:45am -- CAMP ALL STARS ASSESSMENT MATCH
11:45am -- AWARDS and CLOSING COMMENTS AT VARSITY FIELD
12Noon -- DEPART: All campers must have their rooms checked by the Staff Member before they leave.

Athlete of the Week
Sean Wiggan
Men's Indoor Track
Chantelle Pressley from women's basketball and Sean Wiggan from men's indoor track have been named the EIU student-athletes of the week.

Pressley helped the women's basketball team extend its current winning streak to nine games as she scored in double figures against both Austin Peay and Jacksonville State.  Pressley had a double-double in the win over APSU with 13 points, 10 rebounds.

Wiggan had a solid showing at the Indiana Relays as he placed first in the 600m and was 8th in the 800m invitational.  Wiggan's winning time of 1:19.70 in the 600m set the school record.  His time in the 800m was 1:51.93.
