Second Team All-MVC… Harrison played in 16 games and started 15 times… sat out the season finale against Drake due to an illness… recorded the second highest single-season assist total of the program’s Valley era… played a role in 11 of the team’s 19 goals this season… recorded a point in each of the first eight games of the year that EIU scored… scored goals against IPFW and Creighton… had an assist in four consecutive games in September, a streak believed to be the longest of the program’s Valley era… assisted on all three goals in the win at Missouri State, only the second three-assist effort by a Panther in the MVC years… was one of only 26 players nationally to have three-plus assists in a game this fall… helped setup goals by Mike Picinich (at Central Ark. and vs. IUPUI), Jonathan Hinds (vs. Stony Brook and at MSU), Kyle Bullock (vs. IPFW), Jerry Maddi (at MSU), Chris Pearson (at MSU) and Evan Philpott (at Evansville and vs. Bradley)… ranked third among the EIU field players in minutes played… logged 90-plus minutes 12 times… played 560 consecutive minutes during Valley play, the second longest streak of the year among EIU field players… went the distance in the draw with Creighton, a season-high 110 minutes… Eastern is 8-3-1 when he has scored during her career… National Rankings: eighth in assists per game… MVC Rankings: first in assists per game, second in assists, sixth in points per game… EIU Single-Season Rankings: fifth in assists… EIU All-Time Rankings: seventh in assists.

2008: Honorable Mention All-MVCMVC Offensive Player of the Week (Sept. 8)… Harrison was one of two Panthers to start all 19 games… will enter his junior season having started a team-high 23 consecutive games… enjoyed a breakout season, registering a team-high seven assists and scoring eight goals… scored three of his eight goals in Valley play, finding the back of the net twice against a Creighton team that came to Charleston as the top-ranked defensive team in the country… also posted a multi-goal game in the win at IPFW… earned his first career MVC Player of the Week honors after recording three goals and an assist as EIU swept its Western Michigan-IPFW road trip… had a goal and an assist in the same game on four occasions… registered a point in each of the first four and six of the first eight games of the season… also scored against Central Arkansas, Wright State and Drake… assisted on goals by: Adam Gartner at Valparaiso, Brad Peters vs. UMKC, Adam Gartner at IPFW, Jim Adee vs. Central Arkansas… Brad Peters (second goal) at Wright State, Ryan Child vs. Evansville and Jonathan Hinds vs. Creighton… ranked third on the team in minutes (1,598)… played 454 of the possible 456 minutes of the Valley season… went the distance on eight occasions… played a season-high 110 minutes in the draw at Northern Illinois… ranks seventh in points, eighth in goals, and eighth in assists among the program leaders in the Valley era… MVC Rankings: second in assists, third in points, and fifth in goals.
 
2007: MVC All-Freshman Team Bradley City Centre Classic All-Tournament Team… Harrison played in 19 games and started 18 times, including the final four matches of the season… opened and closed the regular season with an overtime goal, beating Belmont in his collegiate debut and Asbury College… became the first player in the program’s Valley era to score two overtime goals in the same year, and one of just three Panthers in the MVC years with a pair of overtime goals on his résumé… also assisted on EIU’s other two overtime goals: Brad Peters’ versus Oral Roberts and Brad Earl’s at Kentucky… actually scored twice in the win at Asbury… also found the back of the net at Loyola and in the home opener versus IUPUI… became the first Panther to score in his Lakeside Field debut since 2004… registered a season-high six shots in the MVC Tournament semifinal match against Bradley… went the distance in the win at Asbury, but played a season-high 100 minutes in the draw at UAB.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: After graduating in June of 2004 from Gosforth High School, he spent two years at Gateshead where he was a teammate of Chris Pearson... helped lead Gateshead to the 2005-06 ECFA national championship… in 2006-07 he broke the school scoring record… played for coach Paul Bryson… also played for the Wallsend Boys Club and Walker Central from 2000-05, winning league and cup titles… most recently transferred to Ryton FC from his Newcastle Blue Star club… holds a BTEC national diploma in sport science… earned F.A. level one and two coaching badges in soccer while at Gateshead.

PERSONAL: No. 1 sports highlight was winning the national championship with Gateshead and playing in the F.A. Cup for Newcastle Blue Star… his father has been a major influence on his sports career because “he has always been there to support me from a young age”… most admires coach Bryson because “he has developed me as a player over the past three years and taught me to never accept second best”… son of Trevor and Jacqueline HarrisonMAJOR: Kinesiology and sports studies.
