The purpose of the Panther Club Board of Directors is to support the student-athletes and teams who represent Eastern Illinois University through fundraising activities in an active volunteer and committee structure.

Members may join the Panther Club Board of Directors through invitation only.  Merit for invitation shall be determined on an individual's beliefs in the mission and values of Eastern Illinois University and its Athletic Department, and their financial support of Panther Athletics through the Panther Club.

Objectives of the Panther Club Board of Directors are to:

-Increase private giving and corporate funding to enable Eastern Illinois University to excel at the NCAA Division 1 level;
-Support the annual giving program of the Panther Club;
-Serve as ambassadors for the Eastern Illinois University Intercollegiate Athletic programs to develop a higher program visibility not only in the Ohio Valley Conference, but also locally, regionally, and nationally;
-Promote awareness of individual and team accomplishments, coaching excellence, and athletic program success.

The Eastern Illinois University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics would like to extend a grateful thank you to the Panther Club Executive Board and Board of Directors for their role in supporting Panther Athletics.

Athlete of the Week
Sean Wiggan
Men's Indoor Track
Chantelle Pressley from women's basketball and Sean Wiggan from men's indoor track have been named the EIU student-athletes of the week.

Pressley helped the women's basketball team extend its current winning streak to nine games as she scored in double figures against both Austin Peay and Jacksonville State.  Pressley had a double-double in the win over APSU with 13 points, 10 rebounds.

Wiggan had a solid showing at the Indiana Relays as he placed first in the 600m and was 8th in the 800m invitational.  Wiggan's winning time of 1:19.70 in the 600m set the school record.  His time in the 800m was 1:51.93.
