Position: Assistant Coach, Women's Basketball
Alma Mater: Christian Brothers, 2005
Years at EIU: 3rd year

Jackie Moore is in her third year as a member of head coach Brady Sallee’s staff.

Along with assisting in recruiting, Moore is in charge of travel arrangements and setting up team meals. On the court, she works primarily with the guards. The Panthers led the OVC in field goal and 3-point field goal percentage in 2009.

Moore came to EIU fresh off a year-long internship with the Detroit Shock and Detroit Pistons.

She was an All-Gulf South Conference honoree at Christian Brothers University, which is based in Memphis, and later played professionally for the Power Basket Tigers, a professional team in Austria.

Moore played at Christian Brothers from 2002-05 before heading to Europe for her stint with the Tigers. As a sophomore, she helped lead CBU to a Gulf South Conference West Division title and appearance in the NCAA DII Tournament. She garnered All-Conference honors a year later.

Moore worked some notable camps – including those sponsored by the University of Michigan, Richard Hamilton, Nancy Lieberman, and the Pistons and Shock – before beginning her internship with Palace Sports Entertainment in August of 2006. As a Brand Marketing and Year-Around-Hoops intern for the two Detroit professional basketball franchises, she performed a long list of duties at games, special events, camps, clinics and other promotions.

She is a native of Windsor, Ontario, and earned her bachelor’s degree from Christian Brothers in May of 2005.

“Jackie was someone who shot to the top of the candidate list quickly,” Sallee says. “She has shown a willingness to make sacrifices in order to be a college coach, and it was that aspect of her personality that reminded me of my start in college coaching. I was impressed with her eagerness and excitement about our program, and I believe she has a great future ahead of her.”
