EXHIBITION 1 RECAP

Eastern Illinois picked up a 66-57 win over Quincy University in the Panthers opening exhibition win last week.  Nevaeh Dickman scored 16 points with Abbie Boutilier adding ten off the bench.  Janyah Bohanon pulled down nine rebounds as EIU dominated the glass with a 50-35 rebound margin.

STOLLER, BOHANON NAMED PLAYERS TO WATCH
Eastern Illinois senior guard Ava Stoller was named one of two Eastern Illinois players to watch in the OVC for this upcoming season as the conference released its preseason basketball materials last week.  Stoller is the Panthers returning scoring leader from last year at 11.9 points per game while setting the EIU single season record for free throw percentage at 90 percent.   Transfer guard Janyah Bohanon was also named to the preseason players to watch list.  Bohanon played last season at Buffalo appearing in 22 games.  She played her first two years at Howard University helping the team reach the second round of WNIT.

STARTERS RETURNING
Eastern Illinois returns seven players from last season's roster including three players who each started 25 games or more.  Ava Stoller returns as the Panthers leading scorer at 11.9 points per game.  Meioshe Mason made 25 starts last season averaging 7.3 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.  Clara Glad was the only EIU player to appear in all 31 games during the season making 30 starts.  She averaged 6.7 points per game.   Additional players returning from last season are Abbie Boutilier, Nyah Hardy, Adriana Arroyo and Alanna Phillipo.

NEW FACES
Eastern Illinois returns seven players from last season but that did not stop head coach Marqus McGlothan from adding both experience and depth to the Panthers roster.   McGlothan added four-year transfers Janyah Bohanon (Buffalo), Lana Koricanac (Troy) and Nevaeh Dickman (Loyola Chicago).  The Panthers mixed in three freshmen players in Alahnna Simpson, Miranda Rodriguez Sanchez and Dalia Grandberry.  The final addition was junior college guard Chazz Fernandez.
