JACKSONVILLE, Ala – Back-to-back home runs from Ally Nolte and Taylor Lawson in the fourth inning, the first long balls of the season for both players, was not enough to keep Eastern Illinois softball alive at the OVC Tournament, as Morehead State rallied for a 7-4 victory in the elimination game Friday morning.

With four weeks remaining until the NCAA Mideast Regional at the University of Arkansas on May 30-31, several Eastern Illinois track athletes will continue in their attempt to hit an NCAA Regional mark.

For his flawless 4.0 grade point average and stellar relief work this season, Eastern Illinois baseball’s Brian Morrell has been named Academic All-District V by ESPN the Magazine.
