Eastern Closes Practice with Fall World Series

Eastern Illinois baseball concludes fall practice over the next week with its annual Fall World Series at Coaches Stadium. Oct. 22 Schedule Update: Due to rain Thursday, the Fall World Series will now be played Friday-Sunday-Tuesday. Friday's game is set for 2:30 p.m., Sunday at 11 a.m. and Tuesday at 3 p.m.

Athlete of the Week

Sydney Mitchell

Sydney Mitchell is the Student-Athlete of the Week after helping EIU extend its program-record win streak to 11 with victories at SIU Edwardsville and Southeast Missouri State. The freshman provided energy and offensive production off the bench, scoring in double figures in both games. She scored 11 points at SIUE and a career-high 12 points at SEMO. She finished the road trip 7-of-13 from the field and 9-of-10 at the free throw line.
