OVC Creates Game Of The Week Package

The Ohio Valley Conference and Wazoo Sports have partnered to broadcast the OVC Football “Game of the Week.” The Wazoo Sports Network will begin airing the “Game of the Week” starting in September and running through November. Eastern Illinois will make two appearances during back-to-back weeks.

Hudson Signs Contract With Cincinnati

Former Eastern Illinois offensive tackle Otis Hudson became the second rookie to sign his contract with the Cincinnati Bengals as he finalized details on Wednesday with the club. Hudson was a fifth round selection by the Bengals and is currently penciled in as the backup for right guard Bobbie Williams.

Panthers Land At No. 20 In Athlon Rankings

Eastern Illinois added another preseason Top 25 football ranking as they were listed at No. 20 by Athlon Sports Magazine. EIU has now been ranked in all but one preseason top 25 this season with the 2010 season just around the corner with a Sept. 4 opener at Iowa.
