Baseball Selection Show Monday At 11:30 a.m.

CHARLESTON, Ill. - Eastern Illinois athletics will host a selection show party for the 2008 NCAA Baseball Regional which will be announced on Monday morning at 11:30 a.m. (Central) on ESPN. The selection show party will be held at the EIU Lantz Arena Academic Center and is open to the public and media. Coach Jim Schmitz and members of the 2008 Ohio Valley Conference champion EIU Panthers baseball team will be on hand.
The Panthers won the 2008 OVC Tournament championship on Saturday evening in Paducah, Ky., with a 7-4 win over Southeast Missouri State. EIU was 4-0 in the OVC Tournament playing as the No. 4 seed in the bracket. This will be EIU's first NCAA Regional appearance since 1999.
