More rain entered the area after tarp was pulled

CHARLESTON, Ill. – Heavy rain showers throughout Central Illinois has forced the cancellation of Saturday's Eastern Illinois-Tennessee Tech baseball doubleheader at Coaches Stadium.

The two teams will now play a doubleheader Sunday at noon. Both games will be seven-inning contests.

The rain began to fall around 11 a.m. and continued until about 3 p.m., when EIU removed the tarp on the field. The showers resumed shortly thereafter.
