CHARLESTON, Ill. – Heavy rain showers throughout Central Illinois Sunday morning and afternoon has forced the cancellation of the finale of the Eastern Illinois-Murray State baseball series at Coaches Stadium.
The contest will not be made up. Eastern has had an Ohio Valley Conference home game rained out each of the last two weekends.
The Panthers (21-5, 7-0 OVC) will carry their 11-game winning streak into Wednesday's midweek game against Indiana State. Eastern resumes conference play next weekend at UT Martin. It will be a Friday-Saturday series due to Easter on April 12.
