CHARLESTON, Ill. -- Newly hired Eastern Illinois assistant volleyball coach, Kate Price, is set to host the upcoming All Skills Volleyball Camp next week (July 6-10). Camp kicks off on Monday and will be geared towards girls in grades 5-12, as well as recent high school graduates and entire volleyball teams.

A former standout member of the 2007 NCAA Championship Penn State volleyball squad, Price was hired by incoming EIU head coach Alan Segal this past May. With the hiring, she was given the reigns of running the annual five-day summer sports camp. Along with Price, members of the current Panther volleyball squad will also be assisting the campers.

“I am looking forward to the summer camp,” Price said. “It will be good to enjoy some time in the gym with current EIU players, as well as EIU’s pipeline of future players. This camp will be a more intimate, smaller gathering, which will allow myself, and the other camp coaches, a chance for more one-on-one attention to each of our campers."

After the participants are grouped according to age and volleyball skill level, the campers will work on various skill techniques, including passing, setting, hitting, defense, serving, and blocking drills. In addition, each day will feature an organized and competitive playing schedule, which will help the campers hone their newly acquired skills.
