DICKSON, Tenn. -- Firing a four-over-par 76, senior Jaymie Voorhees led all Panthers following day one play at the 2010 Ohio Valley Conference golf championship on Thursday, as the Eastern Illinois women's squad currently sit in fifth place.

Also earning a Top 25 day one finish at the par 72, 6,049 yard GreyStone Golf Club was Veronica Bernier, who tied for 18th with 79 shots, while Katie Imburgia and Lauren Williams each place in a tie for 22nd via their day one round of 80 strokes apiece.

Rounding out the Panther contingent was Emily Calhoun's 28th place tie with an 82 score.

Action at the three-day end-of-season meet gets back on track Friday morning, with Voorhees earning the late 10 am tee-off time as a member of the 10th group of golfers.

Morehead State and Jacksonville State are currently tied for the top team finish at 304 strokes each.  Murray State and Austin Peay follow in third and fourth, respectively, while the Panthers are fifth with a 315 team total.  EIU finished ahead of Eastern Kentucky, Tennessee Tech and Tennessee State to open first day of league action.
