Make it 26 wins and counting for the Eastern Illinois women's rugby squad as the Panthers racked up a second straight 10-0 regular season capping the 2009 undefeated campaign with a 85-5 victory over the Midwest College All-Stars.

EIU ended the year extending its program win streak to 26 with the last defeat for EIU rugby coming with a 41-14 loss at Indiana on Sept. 21, 2007. Since that defeat EIU has dominated most of its competition with 13 shut outs and five contests in which EIU scored more than 100 points.

In the 2009 season alone EIU posted five shutouts with its biggest victory a 103-0 win over Southern Illinois. The Panthers biggest challenge in 2009 was a 22-20 win over Northern Iowa.

The senior class for the Panthers featured Chase Cain, Ashley Jenkins, Crystal Jones, Stephanie Militello and early graduate, Tiffany Kennedy. The group compiled a 36-3 record during their four year careers at EIU.
