July 5, 2010 – In a more recent happening for the Eastern Illinois Turn Back The Clock series – EIU alumnus and current Minnesota Vikings head coach Brad Childress is pictured here during a NFL-USO Tour in Afghanistan. Childress is pictured with recent EIU alumnus SSgt Stephen Szigethy who during his time at EIU served as a student manager with the Panther football team.

The NFL-USO Tour is in its second year and featured five coaches visiting with troops at Bagram Air Field north of Kabul. The four coaches included in this year's tour were Childress, Philadelphia head coach Andy Reid, John Fox of the Carolina Panthers, Marvin Lewis of the Cincinnati Bengals.
