CHARLESTON, Ill. – Eastern Illinois head football coach Bob Spoo has announced the dismissal of three players from the Panther football team for violation of team rules. The Panthers finished the 2009 season at 8-4 including an appearance in the first round of the FCS playoffs.

Dismissed from the team on Thursday morning were senior running back Chevon Walker, senior defensive end Colin Luczynski and junior offensive lineman Eric Rettke.

EIU is currently in the middle of its first week of fall practice as the Panthers prepare for their season opener at Iowa on Sept. 4.
