NSCAA Game of the Week Schedule | Fox Soccer Channel

CHARLESTON, Ill. – Eastern Illinois men's soccer's game at Evansville on Friday, Oct. 29 has been selected to be televised live on the Fox Soccer Channel as part of the NSCAA College Game of the Week package.

The EIU-Evansville game is slated for a 7 p.m. (CDT) kickoff at McCutchan Stadium. Last season, the Purple Aces defeated Drake, 1-0, at home in a Fox Soccer Channel game.

Fox Soccer Channel is available on many sports packages offered by cable companies. It is channel 149 on DISH Network and channel 619 on DirecTV. In the Coles County area, Consolidated Communications offers FSC on channel 37 (of its expanded sports package) while Mediacom offers it on channel 261 (of the digital plus package).

Fans that miss a match will be able to view NSCAA College Game of the Week telecasts on-demand via Foxsoccer.tv, Fox Soccer Channel's broadband video service.

Leading a quartet of play-by-play announcers for the package is Dean Linke, who enters his third season as the primary voice of the NSCAA College Game of the Week. Also lending their talents to the broadcasts are veterans Mark Rogondino, Dave Johnson and Steve Bell. They will be joined in the booth for the NSCAA College Game of the Week men's telecasts by color commentator Keith Tabatznik, who recorded 220 career wins in 22 years as men's soccer coach at Georgetown University. The color analysts for the women's games will include former collegiate players Kyndra de St. Aubin (Minnesota), Sari Rose (Wake Forest) and Lisa Grubb (Ohio State).

With the sixth season of NSCAA College Game of the Week telecasts on Fox Soccer Channel starting Sept. 3, Friday nights become the premier viewing destination for fans of NCAA Division I soccer.

Under an ongoing agreement with the NSCAA, Fox Soccer Channel's live and exclusive NSCAA College Game of the Week telecasts include eight women's and 12 men's matches. All but three of the contests will be featured on Friday night, including seven doubleheaders showcasing some of the nation's top squads as competition for conference titles and NCAA tournament berths heats up.

“The NSCAA is proud to celebrate six years of working with Fox Soccer Channel to showcase NCAA Division I soccer,” said NSCAA CEO and Executive Director Joe Cummings. “It is particularly exciting to be able to offer the Friday night doubleheaders, which are certain to become a destination for intercollegiate soccer fans.”

"Some of America's biggest stars – from Eric Wynalda and Mia Hamm to Clint Dempsey and Abby Wambach – have honed their skills in the collegiate game, and we are proud to feature the NSCAA College Game of the Week package for a sixth straight season,” said David Nathanson, General Manager of Fox Soccer Channel. "In addition to the world's elite leagues and tournaments, Fox Soccer Channel is committed to showcasing NCAA Division I soccer, putting some of the nation's best young talent and great rivalries on display weekly.”

Fox Soccer Channel's exciting college slate kicks off Friday, Sept. 3 at 8 p.m. ET with an in-state rivalry as the Clemson men travel to South Carolina. The women's schedule kicks off six days later, as Louisville hosts Kentucky in a “Battle of the Bluegrass” at 7 p.m. ET on Thursday, Sept. 9, one of two Thursday evening games.

One week later Tobacco Road will be the site for the first same-site doubleheader in the history of the NSCAA College Game of the Week. On Friday, Sept. 17, Duke's men's side will host North Carolina in a traditional ACC rivalry beginning at 6:30 p.m. ET. That will be followed by an inter-conference clash between the Duke women and Southeastern Conference power Florida at 8:45 p.m. ET. The schedule concludes with six consecutive weeks of Friday doubleheaders beginning at 8 p.m. ET. Twice there will be three games offered in a week. The Colorado women's team travels to Stillwater, Okla., for a Big 12 clash against Oklahoma State on Thursday, Oct. 14, at 8 p.m. ET in advance of a pair of men's games on Friday, Oct. 15. A regional men's rivalry will be in the spotlight on Wednesday, Oct. 27, when UC Santa Barbara travels to Cal Poly for an 11 p.m. ET start.

Some of the brightest stars in the collegiate game will appear this season on Fox Soccer Channel.  A total of 24 players – 13 women and 11 men – scheduled to appear on NSCAA College Game of the Week telecasts recently were named to the 2010 Missouri Athletic Club Hermann Trophy Watch List.  Presented annually to the top NCAA Division I male and female players in the country, the two MAC Hermann Trophy winners are selected by a vote of NSCAA Division I member coaches.
