DES MOINES, Iowa – Eastern Illinois junior Zye Boey ended his season at the 2011 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Wednesday evening at Drake Stadium. Boey ran the 100 meter dash in a time of 10.62 in the preliminary round of the event, finishing 21st.

Boey has participated in the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships two times in his EIU career, placing 26th in the 100-meter dash in 2009.

Boey earned honorable mention All-American honors by the USTFCCCA based on his advancing to the NCAA National Championships.  He was a first team All-American for the 200 meter dash at the 2011 Indoor National Championships.
