Join the Panther Club for a special event kicking off a weekend of EIU events Sept. 9-10 in the Chicagoland area, culminating with the Panthers taking on the Northwestern Wildcats in football on Saturday afternoon in Evanston, Ill.

The weekend will begin with a Friday night event hosted by the Panther Club at the Cubby Bear North in Lincolnshire, Ill.

The Friday night Coaches' Dinner will provide EIU fans, friends and supporters an opportunity to hear a firsthand preview of Saturday's game in addition to kicking off the season long celebration of Coach Bob Spoo's 25th and final year as the Panthers' head football coach.

Special guests include University President Dr. William Perry, Director of Athletics Barbara Burke and Coach Spoo.

Dinner service will begin at 7 p.m. and Coach Spoo will speak at approximately 7:30 p.m.

Don't miss your opportunity to enjoy this special event with Coach Spoo! Tickets to the Coaches' Dinner are $25, and include appetizers, dinner and non-alcoholic beverages. Access to a full cash bar will be available.

In addition to the Friday Coaches' Dinner event, the EIU Alumni Association will host a pre-game tailgate on Saturday before the 2:30 p.m. kickoff. More information can be found by clicking here.
