CHARLESTON, Ill. – The Panther women's basketball team is ranked 18th in the most recent CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top 25 Poll. EIU was the lone Ohio Valley Conference team ranked in the poll.

EIU is 15-4 on the year and is in first place in the OVC standings with a 6-0 record. The Panthers improved to 9-0 at home with an 88-73 win over Tennessee State on Monday night. EIU currently leads the OVC in scoring defense, scoring margin, field-goal percentage and rebounding margin while ranking second in scoring offense.

EIU returns to action on Saturday Jan. 28 at Jacksonville State. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m.
