Men's Tennis Inks Marko Stefan Janjusic

EIU men's tennis announced earlier today the signing of Swedish International Marko Stefan Janjusic for the upcoming 2016-17 season

 Eastern Illinois men's tennis head coach Sam Kercheval announced the signing Marko Stefan Janjusic earlier today for the upcoming 2016-17 season.15602

"Marko is a hard worker who is looking to make great strides in his game and contribute to the team" said coach Kercheval. "He is going to bring with him a strong passion and drive that will be contagious to everyone around him. We are very excited to have him joining our program and know his passion and energy are going to make him a successful member of our program."

Janjusic will come to EIU from Malmo, Sweden after playing club tennis for one of the biggest teams in Sweden; Fair Play tk. His club team won both the indoor and the outdoor tennis championships in 2015.

The Swedish international has been ranked as high as No. 8 in the nation and No. 2 in his region during his junior career. Janjusic has even represented his country as a Swedish National Team championship winner.

During his training, Janjusic has studied under Nikola" Niki" Pilic at the Niki Pilic tennis academy in Germany. Pilic has trained many international tennis stars including Novak Djokovic and Goran Ivanisevic.

Janjusic will join the Panthers next year with an interest in studying business and business administration.
