CHARLESTON, Ill. – Eastern Illinois cross country coach Erin Howarth has announced the addition of six runners that will join the Panthers men's and women's programs next season.  Set to join the EIU men's program are Nick Oakley (Charleston, IL), Mason Jones (Mt. Zion, IL), Andrew Pilat (McHenry, IL) and Will Bullock (Marietta, GA).  On the women's side Megan Adams (Mendon, IL) and Sam Mabry (St. Joseph, IL) will be competing at EIU next season.
 
Listed below are quick accomplishments on each athlete…
 
Nick Oakley … competed four seasons at Charleston HS… advanced to the IHSA Class 2A State Championships as a sophomore, junior and senior… during senior season won the Decatur McArthur Sectional with a 3-mile time of 15:00.7 which was a personal best… placed 15th at the IHSA State Championship as a senior with a time of 15:10.0… competed in the NXR Midwest Regional Championships as a senior posting a 5K time of 16:21.8… as a junior finished 52nd at the Class 2A state meet with a 3-mile time of 15:35… as a sophomore finished 119th at the state championships with a time of 16:10… in track ran the 800 meters, 1,600 meters and 3,200 meter events… as a junior placed 9th at the IHSA Class 2A State Track Championships in the 800 meters with a time of 1:57.75…
 
Mason Jones … competed three seasons at Mt. Zion HS… advanced to the IHSA Class 2A State Championships as a junior and sophomore… during senior season placed 78th at the IHSA State meet with a 3-mile time of 15:59… placed 9th at the Decatur McArthur Sectional as a senior to advance as an individual to the state meet… personal best 3-mile time was 14:57.5 at the Peoria High Invitational… finished 44th at the State Championships as a junior with a time of 15:27… in track ran the 800 meters, 1,600 meters and 3,200 meter events… advanced to the IHSA Class 2A State Track Championships in the 800 meters as a junior…
 
Andrew Pilat … competed four seasons at McHenry HS… advanced to the IHSA Class 3A State Championships as a sophomore… placed 155th at the State Championship meet with a 3-mile time of 15:54.3… as a senior posted a personal best 3-mile time of 15:05.2 at the Peoria HS Meet… in track competed in the 1,600 meter run… placed 5th at the Class 3A Huntley Sectional with a time of 4:32.28… personal best 1,600 meter time was 4:27.77 as a senior…
 
Will Bullock … ran at Kennesaw Mountain HS… named honorable mention All-Cobb County as a senior…  placed 18th at the Georgia State Class 2-7A State Championships with a 5K time of 17:12.25… was the runner-up at the Area Class 2-7A championship with a time of 16:04.92… finished 57th at the state championships as a junior with a time of 17:46.42... in track ran the 1,600 meter and 3,200 meter events…
 
Megan Adams … competed three seasons at Mendon Unity HS… advanced to the IHSA Class 1A State Championship all three seasons… as a senior had a finals 3-mile time of 19:05 placing 53rd… personal best 3-mile time came as a junior at the State Championship meet with a time of 17:59 to place 16th…  was 55th at the state meet as a sophomore with a time of 19:10… advanced to the IHSA Class 1A State Track Championships as a freshman and sophomore in the 1600m… placed 9th at the state meet in the 800m as a sophomore with a finals time of 2:21.64…
 
Sam Mabry … competed four seasons at St. Joseph-Ogden HS… posted a personal best 3K time of 18.29.1 as a senior running at the St. Joseph-Ogden Spartan Classic… as a junior advanced to the IHSA Class 1A State Championships finishing 33rd with a time of 18:33 helping school win IHSA Class 1A State Championship… finished eighth at the Tuscola 1A Regional and 16th at the Saint Anthony Sectional during junior season… as a freshman placed 29th at the Champaign St. Thomas More Regional… in track has advanced to the IHSA Class 1A State Championships during freshman, sophomore and junior seasons as a member of 4x800 relay team… as a junior advanced to the IHSA State Championships in the 800 meter run posting a time of 2:29.29 at the championship meet…
