CHARLESTON, Ill. – Eastern Illinois women's basketball coach Matt Bollant has kept the international flair going in his inaugural Panthers signing class with the addition of Spanish product Camino Tellez.   Tellez is a 5'9 guard that is the younger sister of current EIU player Carmen Tellez.  She becomes the fourth player signed by Bollant since his hiring in April and the third player with international ties.

"Camino is a talented point guard who passes and distributes extremely well," said Bollant.  "She has great length for a point guard which gives her a lot of versatility.  Seeing how driven her sister Carmen is, helped us in knowing what a good player Camino can be for this program."

Tellez was recruited by Illinois, Georgia State, West Florida, Cal Baptist and Wisconsin-Parkside.

She averaged ten points, four steals and four assists this past season as she led Real Canoe to the Final Four as the team finished third overall in the U18 Championships held in Madrid. She led the team to a championship in the Liga Femenina 2.
