The newest addition to Panther Athletic facilities is the new Panther Academic Center which is housed in the new Lantz Arena addition adjacent to basketball courts. Opened in October of 2006, the Academic Center provides a study area for student-athletes as well as computers and study stations for class work to be completed. The academic services and compliance staffs are also located in the Academic Center to provide all the resources needed for EIU student-athletes.
Additional space in the Lantz Arena addition houses the EIU men's and women's basketball offices along with a conference room for use by EIU athletic teams and administration.
